You know what's cool? Hiring someone. You know what's cooler? Hiring an Arts Editor with the skills Emily Taylor brings to the table.
We'll let Emily take over from here:
As you may have heard, I'll be stepping into Scott Shoger’s shoes as the Arts Editor for NUVO. First, let me say that I'm extremely excited to get to know everyone in the arts community around town. I have no doubt that we'll hit it off. I'll be on the ground running in a couple of weeks, but if you see me out and about before then please come say "hi." I'm always ready to chat.
To make it a little less awkward when you do, let’s begin the introductions here. I’ll start.
I went to IUPUI, spending my time reading stacks of philosophy books and rushing to journalism classes. Since then, I've written for various publications around the state covering everything from arts to craft beer to politics. It was writing about Indy that truly made me see it for what it is — a beautiful culture that I'm ready to help foster. I'm optimistic about the future of this town.
I believe our thriving arts community is a good indication of how Indianapolis is moving and growing.
Individually, we all strive to be better, but NUVO is asking our entire city to be better as a whole: to live with conviction and innovation. I guarantee we'll have even more great stories to share with you as this town and its arts continues to mature.
So now that we've been introduced, let’s get down to the good stuff.
Let's get down to the good stuff, indeed.
