YouTube closed captioning kills carols

If you've ever wondered what YouTube's closed-captioning tool does to Christmas carols (who hasn't?), wonder no more.

Internet funnymen Rhett & Link ran a bunch of holiday songs through the Google-powered caption tool, then sang the results back. "There is no / that is now / let us know" does sound a little like "Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow."

If you're a geek like these guys, read more about them and the technology involved at Wired. If you just came here to waste time, you can now waste time with NUVO in another Google product, Currents, a slick news reader iPhone/iPad/Android.

"Merry charisma wrist to you!"
