"Children don't belong in prison (New Releases, “Frighteningly Effective,” Aug. 22-29). The frightening thing is they will be getting out and they will be 100 percent worse than when they went in. Maybe we should rethink our "tough on crime" rhetoric and try to come up with productive and common sense solutions to teen crime. This is ridiculous and a scam on taxpayers. We should be using our taxpayer dollars much more effectively than this. Beware of the Prison Industrial Complex. This is just a feed into the Big House where most of these kids will eventually end up because they get no help or rehabilitation inside these places. Pathetic and dangerous. Society is not benefiting, but the private prison industry is.
