Union representatives are praising Sen. Evan Bayh's vote to allow debate on healthcare reform in the U.S. Senate and are now pressing him to stay the course and support a bill when it comes up for a vote. Members of AFSCME Council 62, the Central Indiana State Employees, Local 3728 and Indianapolis Public Schools, Local 661 argue that our economy can't be fixed without fixing healthcare and say the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act will benefit 6.4 million Indiana families and aid small businesses.
