The Indy Jazz Fest didn't draw as many people as hoped for and finished in the red, but festival organizers, including the Jazz Kitchen's David Allee, deserve a hand for stepping up and not only rescuing, but reimagining the event, placing the focus firmly on jazz music and the city's jazz heritage. Here's hoping sponsors like Marsh will give Indy Jazz Fest a chance to grow in years to come.
