A section of the roof from The RCA/Hoosier Dome is being used to protect the Main Building at the old Herron School of Art. The old Herron campus on 16th Street has already undergone a partial transformation, as it now provides a home for Herron High School, a charter school. Plans are for the school to eventually expand into the Main Building. But, in the meantime, that building, with its leaky roof, needs to be protected. Keep Indianapolis Beautiful, which received three acres of Dome roof for reuse, is making some of it available for the Herron project.
