The Environmental Protection Agency has finally said what breathing people have known for a long time: the junk spewed by coal-burning power plants is harmful to our health. Indiana, of course, is heavily hooked on coal-burning energy and the prospect of having to clean up its act has industry leaders in a snit, threatening to raise our uncommonly low energy rates. It's too bad it took an EPA ruling to force them to do the right thing. Apparently this is an industry incapable of acting on its own.
