This is your government: AIDS walk

Joining John this week:

Kathy Nagler of the Health Foundation of Greater Indianapolis, which since

1986 has distributed about $33 million in grants "to most vulnerable populations" in Central Indiana.

Julie Fidler, DMD human services grant manager.

They encourage participation in the Indiana AIDS Walk, set for Sept. 28 in Herron Morton Place. The 1-mile "walk around the block" will be family friendly, including a "pet pit stop" where people can have their dogs' nails cut.

Cumatively, since the disease arrived in the 1980s, Indiana has had about 10,000 AIDS cases.

For more information, call Kathy at 630-1805 or visit www.indianaaidswalk.org.
