"As a concerned citizen of our Great Nation I feel I must write and express growing concerns I have for our Nation and its future. I am all of 36 years old and I grow more and more concerned. I remember the days of listening to my grandmother and how life was for her when she grew up. I remember watching, and being proud of, John Wayne portray an American War Hero fighting the Japanese in the South Pacific. Who are we as a people, where did our culture go, where did our way of life go? We as a people no longer seem proud to be American. We care too much what other countries think of us. Do we really think they care what we think of them? They don’t. We grow more tolerant of others and their needs to cope in our country. I lose my comfort level and what I am used to as an American while we change to accommodate others so they don’t have to be uncomfortable in our country. If they are wishing to relocate here, I would think they are prepared to speak the language and learn our customs to add to theirs. Notice I said “ADD” to theirs, I do not want them to give up their identity or their customs for ours, but learn ours for you are wanting to live in our country and even maybe make it your own. I would not expect anything less if I were to move to a European country of any choice, why do any of them expect it from us? Because we will give it to them and compromise our way of life and comfort for theirs; we are soft.

Our country all has Attention Deficit Disorder. We cannot focus on or remember an issue more than a year or so. Shine something bright in our eyes, show us a different news clip and we are off topic and focused somewhere else. DOES ANYONE REMEMBER 9/11? We were attacked and a lot of innocent people were killed. They intended to kill a lot more but some great Americans stopped them once they figured it out.
