"So let me get this straight. Steve Hammer writes a column (rightly) criticizing Ann Coulter for calling a presidential candidate a “faggot” and chastising conservatives for not criticizing it (Hammer, “Shame on Ann Coulter,” March 7-14). However, in the same column he says Coulter looks like a “drag queen” and comments on what he perceives to be her manly appearance.
Is Hammer oblivious to the fact his comment is every bit as bad and inappropriate as Coulter’s, not to mention also has sexist overtones?
Although I often enjoy Hammer’s column, he might look up the word “hypocrisy” in the dictionary.
