Hey everyone and welcome back! This week another Gods and Monsters tie in hits shelves, along with a Punky Brewster comic!? (that's about a hipster beer pub, right?)

Anyway! Let's talk about what you should read in between games during Gen Con! And don't worry, I've got a title for all types of readers this week!

Sex Criminals #11: All right guys, don't be scared of the title. It doesn't mean there are 11 criminals that commit sex-capades. There are only two that do that in this comic! I'm kidding! This comic is about a couple that discovers they can stop time whenever they climax so of course they decide to rob a bank with these new found

powers! The heist is going swimmingly UNTIL these other time-stopping-sex-lords bring it to a halt! But who are these mysterious Sex Police? And are there other orgasmic time stoppers in the world? And where has this comic been all our lives!? Well, all these questions (and maybe like two other ones) will be answered in this next issue!

Jem and the Holograms #5: Hear me out. Yes this is based off of the TV show. Yes, it's a "girly comic" (but honestly what the heck does that even mean?) But, also yes, this is one of my favorites. It's perfect for young girls who are struggling with self confidence, people who liked the TV show and hate the new movie that's coming out, and those who want to read something light hearted and goofy but also touching at times.

If you don't know the premise, Jerrica Benton is a singer for a band, but she has terrible stage fright. After finding this creation her father left for her, she can now turn into the confident and bold Jem! But there's a rival band that's jealous of the new Jem and the Holograms and they'll do anything to stop them from winning the battle of bands..

Squarriors #3: This next one takes place after all the humans have been wiped off the planet and now animals have been blessed with a higher form of intelligence. Picture Watership Down mixed with the Warriors series (the one about the tribe of cats in our backyards) and that's what Squarriors is about! There are warring tribes and crazy furry adventures so if you're looking for something a little more action packed, I would recommend this one!

Sabrina #4: This is for the horror comic lovers out there! Yep, you read that right. They have redone our little innocent Sabrina the teenage witch and made her into something from Harry Potter's nightmares. or something

like that. It's a really dark and spooky comic with a lot of devil worship and other witch stuff your mother warned you about. In the last issue, Sabrina was just about to give herself to Lord Satan until Harvey shows up and ruins everything. So, we'll see how things end for 'Brina.

Star Wars #7: This series takes place between episodes 4 and 5 and is super

legit. And this is a really special issue. It's about old Ben Kenobi (or Obi-Wan Kenobi). Things are going pretty crazy on Tatooine and Ben can either expose his true identity or ignore the madness going all around him. Which one will he choose though???

Well that's all for this week! Maybe I will see you at Gen Con or if you happen to be wandering around, come and say hello and pick up a few good reads for the weekend! I'll be here!

Need to see it all? Click here! As always, it's been a pleasure and I'll see you Sunday to talk about Secret Wars!
