Happy New Year! I hope you all had an amazing holiday. This week is another slow week since it's a holiday. Normally in this post I would talk about the top five new comics that are coming out this week that I'm excited about HOWEVER there aren't a lot of new titles out this week so I'm going to talk about whatever comics I feel like talking about OKAY.

Dreaming Eagles #1

Based off actual events, Dreaming Eagles follows the first African American fighter pilots in WW2! The series follows their journey from Tuskegee, Alabama all the way to Germany as they help win the war against the Nazis. It is written by Garth Ennis and shows the men braving enemy soldiers and bigotry in the US army.

Astonishing Ant Man #3

Paul Rudd is the best superhero around. I mean.. Ant-Man is the best superhero! He's got his flaws and bad habits but he's trying hard to make the world a better place for his daughter. Lately he's been having issues but in his third issue, he gets to team up with Captain America!

Justice League #47

I've been really digging the Darkseid War, in case you couldn't tell. League members are getting powers, Darkseid is dead and Miracle Man and Big Barda are back and better than ever! In this issue, Wonder Woman turns to the people who might be able to help Earth.... the Crime Syndicate! But will they even help Wonder Woman after everything that's happened?

Last Sons of America #2

In the last issue, the two brothers were having a hard time sending children to the US for adoption. Now, they have one they could send but she just happens to be a gang leader's daughter. So sending her would probably be a REALLY bad idea.

Superman Wonder Woman #24

I've got to say, I love Tomasi and Mahnke on this super couple. Not only is Mahnke's art beautiful, Tomasi finds a way of humanizing both of these ridiculously powerful individuals. You get to see the couple as you've never seen them before. In this issue, Superman and Wonder Woman are on the rocks and Superman is teaming up with... the Parasite!?

In case you were wondering, Marvel mixed up the release dates on a bunch of their comics so we will unfortunately have to wait another week for the riveting adventures of Obi-Wan and Anakin (thank God for Deadpool and Cable coming out this week). A new Swamp Thing series launches next week as well along with a lot of other awesome comics!

I hope you all have a very safe and wonderful New Year and I can't wait to talk to everyone next year about comics! Thanks for watching my goofy videos and listening to me rant about Magneto dying all the time in Secret Wars!

See you next year!
