I must say that I enjoy reading your articles weekly. I decided I would write in regards to the Michael Jackson article that you wrote (Hammer, "Remember: Judge Not," July 1-8). I am one of those people that cracked jokes from the time that I heard he had passed; you know, such as, I figured Farrah was up in heaven cussing him out that he couldn't wait one damn day to die. Anyway, your words made me think that even though we viewed his life as a circus, he was a person who was probably, as you said, alone, drugged and mistrustful of others. He was a human with feelings and who just wanted what everyone else takes for granted. Actually, I'm rather ashamed of myself for the jokes I've said on his behalf, but you are so right, he was an icon of our time. But at the same time, I never thought that guy would die, you know with all of the plastic and all. Still I don't think his passing was a tragedy like everyone keeps saying that it was. It wasn't Sept. 11 or Columbine, it was just life. Everyone has to go through it.
OK, thanks for keeping Indy entertained. You rock dude!!!
