The Indianapolis Zoo has announced an campaign that will create a new International Orangutan Center. According to a press release, the zoo's "Campaign for Conservation and Community: Saving the Orangutans" will provide a home for some of the world's most endangered primates, as well as education to the public.
Check out video about the project below. Yes, orangutans will have a "highway" through which they can travel around the Center - above your head! They'll also be able to turn on a "Beacon of Hope" to remind humans that we haven't yet killed all the "damned dirty apes" (Charlton Heston's words, not mine.)
