I’ve been thinking about getting butt implants, but I want to know if they feel weird. Are they hard or soft?
Sarah: My advice about plastic surgery is all the same: 1) do your research; 2) this is not the occasion for bargain-shopping; and 3) more than likely, you’ll return to your original body satisfaction score. How do I know that last one? Because I wrote a 30-page research paper about media-influenced plastic surgery expectations and outcomes in college. My advice is to get your flat ass in the gym and start doing below-parallel sumo squats if you want to enhance your rear end. I say this because it will give you a real sense of ownership over the transformation process, and if you stick with it, you’ll have a fantastically feel-friendly natural booty and a jolt of confidence in your stride that will be way sexier than any surgical scar with no complications. Then you can take the butt implant money you saved and send yourself on a kickass vacation, or back to school where you can make your new butt a smart ass.
Dr. Debby: I’ve never felt butt implants in person so I can’t say from personal experience. However, through online searches I found some surgeons saying they don’t feel natural and quite a few surgeons saying they recommend augmentations rather than implants. I’d recommend doing a lot of research before choosing a surgery like this one, making sure to find an experienced surgeon who isn’t just trying to sell you on their technique or the procedure. And I’d say that about any surgery for any body part. Whatever you choose, it’s your body and I wish you well.
