Stars race at 2009 Kroger Speedfest

 

Brickyard 400 not enough for you? Racing fans can try and get their fill at O'Reilly Raceway Park, where Kroger Speedfest will present three days and nights of racing July 23-25. Two of NASCAR's top stars, Ryan Newman and Jason Leffler, will be running on Thursday night -- Leffler in the USAC Midget race at 8:30 p.m. and Newman in the J.D. Byrider 100 Silver Crown race at 9 p.m. Gates open to the public Thursday at 5 p.m. General admission is $20; reserved is $27; children 12 and under are admitted free.

On Friday, you can see the AAA Insurance 200 and the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race. Gates open at 11 a.m. for those who'd like to watch practice. Qualifying is at 5:05 p.m. and the AAA Insurance 200 takes place at 8 p.m. Tickets range from $37 for adult general admission (children 6-12, $10) to $55 for Reserved Seat Checkered Flag.

The 28th annual Kroger 200, benefiting Riley Hospital for Children, runs Saturday. Gates open at 9 a.m., qualifying is at 5:05 p.m. and the race is at 8 p.m. Adult general admission is $42; reserved seats are $48-$65. Kyle Busch is the defending champ and is scheduled to defend his title.
