CBA promotions brought in some of the best boxing talent in Indiana, as well as surrounding states, for 10 four-to-six-round bouts Saturday at McGowan Hall - Knights of Columbus, in Downtown Indianapolis.
The evening began with the announcement of a forfeit for Indianapolis native Tony Mahomes. Tony clearly was disappointed as his opponent failed to show up.
The fighting began with a TKO in the second
round by Wisconsin native Benito Tarver.
Indianapolis native, Andrew Holbrook, making his pro debut,
also TKO'd his opponent in the second round.
It took Fishers native, Agustin Cicero until the fourth
round to TKO his opponent.
Other winners, by unanimous decision, were Ray Lucias, Ed Perry, and Dewayne Wisdom. Adalberto Tapia and Ryan Raglin, both from Indianapolis, fought to a draw.
The highlight of the evening was the pro debut of Avon native, Anthony Sims Jr. With a very large contingent of family and friends in attendance, Anthony showed that he was the hardest hitter of the night. He threw everything at Michigan native James Guy, but Guy wouldn't go down. Sims Jr won by unanimous decision. Sims Jr's next fight is scheduled for May 29 in Cincinnati, Ohio.
