In his fifth season in the NBA and first with the Indiana Pacers, Victor Oladipo has been selected as an All-Star for the first time in his career. Oladipo leads the Pacers in scoring at 24.2 points per game, the 12th best average in the league.
Since joining the Pacers via trade (you know the one), Oladipo has sparked a Pacers squad that many experts picked to finish in the bottom half of the Eastern Conference. Despite nagging injuries to both Oladipo and Myles Turner, the Pacers own a respectable 25-22 record and would be the No. 6 seed if the playoffs began today.
The 2018 All-Star Game features a new format with captains LeBron James and Stephen Curry, the top vote-getters in each conference, choosing players from a pool of All-Stars to build their team. Those teams will be announced on Jan. 25.
The game will be played on Feb. 18 in Los Angeles.
