Unity Church of Indianapolis will host the world premiere of the new film The Blue Butterfly from Monterey Media, makers of the indie feature INDIGO.
The Blue Butterfly is a Tribeca Film Festival Official Selection Independent feature about a terminally-ill 10-year-old boy whose dream is to catch the most beautiful butterfly on Earth, the mystic and elusive Blue Morpho. His mother persuades an entomologist (William Hurt) to take them on an expedition into the jungle to search for the butterfly.
The film is based on the true story of David Marender, who defied medical odds and is now a young man who brings encouragement and inspiration to other children.
Screenings are Dec. 16 at 7 p.m. and Dec. 17 at 2 and 7 p.m. at Unity, 907 N. Delaware St. Tickets are $10 in advance or $12 at the door. Call 317-938-6489 or go to www.unityofindy.com.
