A protégé of Gov’t Mule’s Warren Haynes and certainly no stranger to Indianapolis, Marcus King and his band brought their show to the Vogue Theatre Friday night in support of their new recording “El Dorado”, the fourth full length release by the band.  At 23 years of age, singer/songwriter and guitarist King has been writing and performing his brand of Southern Rock music for half his lifetime.

His band includes bassist Stephen Campbell, drummer Jack Ryan, trumpeter/trombonist Justin Johnson, saxophonist Dean Mitchell and keyboardist Simon Thomas George.

Aaron Lee Tasjan and his band opened up the night in a rather cramped stage set up.  It was nice to have them back in Indy after a headlining set at HiFi-Indy earlier this year.
