Michael Heady Answers

What do you offer as

a candidate?

Dedication and hard work to keep

Indianapolis great.

What does your

district most need from the City Council?

We need infrastructure improvements.

What's your opinion

of the 2012 budget proposed by the mayor?

It is what needs to be done for right now until tax revenues

recover to previous levels in the city.

What is your position

on a comprehensive smoking ban?

I am for it. I am sure this has been said a million times,

but smoking is optional breathing is not.

Do you think the city

needs more police officers?

Yes, public safety is a top priority for all cities. It

would be nice if we always had recruit classes in session to

replace retiring officers and officers that are moving on.

Do you support

increased funding for public transit?

Yes, I would love to be able to move around town on a train.

Do you think the

streets and sidewalks in your district are in good shape?

No, until recently it seems that it was unimportant. Having

more sidewalks installed will increase safety for drivers and pedestrians.

Name one project that

would most benefit your district.

There are things that we need to continuously improve so I

do not view them as projects. Improving roads and adding sidewalks would be a

great benefit to our district.

What question do you

wish we'd asked?

If elected what would we expect to see different in your

district at the end of your term?
