1) What do you offer as a


Experience - Councillor almost 8 years.

Knowledge - I

have learned about many issues our City faces and worked with people to tackle

them effectively.

Enthusiasm - I

love my district and I love my City.


2) What does your district

most need from the City Council?

An honestly

balanced budget (we have delivered 3 years! 4th is coming)

Liason between city departments.

Infrastructure to be funded and done. ($425 MILLION worth is

getting done!; $740 MILLION SAVED in consent decree)


Development support - Indy is doing well in a down economy nationally


- transparency - (we are! new ethics guidelines

for Councillors, I oversaw)

A voice for their area in the grand scheme of things.

3) What's your opinion of the 2012

budget proposed by the mayor?

It is another

hard year with revenues down but we have an effective leader in the Mayor and

the budget IS balanced.

I support that.

4) What is your position on a

comprehensive smoking ban?

We have a comprehensive

smoking ban...

5) Do you think the city needs more

police officers?

I think we are doing a

great job with the number we have. We are planning for another recruit


It is a bigger issue then

yes or no. Monies need to be there for that investment and we need to

make sure we are hiring quality not just quantity.

6) Do you support increased funding for

public transit?


7) Do you think the streets and sidewalks

in your district are in good shape?

They are GREAT

compared to a year ago but there is still more to do! We are doing more

work this season than ever in the history of the City!!

8) Name one project that would most

benefit your district.

Widening 79th Street and sidewalks along Hague Road from 82nd to

Fall Creek.
