Indiana Players Dominate World Cup
strong soccer tradition is well established at Indiana University, the state's
high school leagues and even in amateur competition. Now, though, the state can
claim World Cup victory! Thanks to a roster where five of the eight players are
from Central Indiana, the Power Wheelchair Soccer Team
USA took out England 3-0 in the World Cup championship game on Nov. 6 in Paris. Ten nations competed in the Cup.
The tournament marked the second Power Soccer World Cup. The U.S. has emerged
victorious at both cups. Cheers to future success and the hope that many more
players and fans discover how fun and empowering soccer can be!
