In the world of the B-3 organ pedal and stop performers, a new cadre of players is establishing itself. One of the best to break out of the pack is Philly’s Joey DeFrancesco. DeFrancesco returns with his trio to the Jazz Kitchen for a release party on Monday for his new Concord CD, Falling In Love Again, that features a sensational new singer in Joe Doggs. DeFrancesco was a teen-age sensation, winning numerous awards at age 16 in piano competitions. There will be two non-smoking shows at 7 and 9 p.m. on Monday, June 16. Tickets are $18 advance and $20 day of show. Reservations can be made by calling 253-4900.

The Chatterbox brings back the distinctive sounds of saxophonist Keni Washington & Omniverse Friday, June 13. The energetic guitar style of Bill Lancton’s Group takes over on Saturday, June 14. Music both nights is from 10:30 p.m. to 2 a.m. with a cover charge.
Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse “Sizzling Steaks and Jazz” Sunday series will debut the jazz and pop sounds of The Four Sexes on Father’s Day, June 15 from 7 to 10 p.m.
Jammin’ at the Jorg at the Eiteljorg Museum showcases the mellow romantic baritone voice of Everett Greene & Friends Thursday, June 12 from 5 to 8 p.m.
Jazz on the Avenue in the Madame Walker Theatre Center showcases the classy, sassy swinging vocals of Mary Moss and Friends Friday, June 13 from 6:30 to 10 p.m.
Indiana Historical Society’s free Concerts on the Canal for Thursday, June 12 presents the Jack Gilfoy Trio and the IUPUI Jazz Ensemble performing 5 to 7:30 p.m.
The Jazz Kitchen showcases the reunion of the Steve Allee “Magic Hour” Contemporary Jazz Band. The popular contemporary jazz guitar of the Charlie Smith Project will be cooking hard on Saturday, June 14. Shows both nights are at 8:30 and 10:30 p.m. with a cover charge.
New Fountain Lounge guitarist Bill Lancton will be a featured guest with the Jason Curry Quartet Wednesday, June 11 playing 8 p.m. to midnight.
