You're really fond of this Sufjan Stevens guy, Indianapolis. As is much of the rest of the country, judging by how quickly the pre-sale tickets for his October tour were exhausted. We heard yesterday that Stevens will perform Nov. 4 at the Hilbert Circle Theater (8 p.m., $30). And now those who missed the boat will have to wait a few weeks to have at the regular crop of tickets (less the 20 rows already sold off).
In town last year to screen his symphony of a highway, "The BQE," but not to perform, Stevens returns this year with guitar in hand, stopping by the stomping grounds of the ISO during a tour of the nation's finest — and sometimes oldest — theaters. The DVD/CD package of "The BQE" is his most recent full-length release, but he's got plenty of material to work with, including the state-themed releases ("Illinois(e)," and "Michigan") that made his name.
