What or who are your biggest regular headaches?

Honestly, I am my biggest headache. I am a very meticulous person, and often drive myself a little crazy trying to do the absolute best job I can do.

Best perk that goes along with the job?

The best part has been, and still is, that moment right before a show begins when the lights go down and the roar of the crowd swoops in and takes people away for the next two or three hours.

Worst anti-perks?

Being away from home and my wife.

Would you consider yourself to be a music lover?

Absolutely. I have been an avid music collector and fan since I was a kid. I used to perform for my parents using a jump rope as a mic, then came my drum set and I’ve been hooked ever since.

Does working with music on a business level have any negative effect on how you feel or how much you recreationally enjoy music?

Truly, this is what I always wanted to do, so it has made it better. Does it desensitize you to being affected by music because of all the less than romantic logistical dealings you have on a daily basis? Not at all, it actually is great because it keeps me more involved than I might otherwise be.

What do you like/love about working in the music industry?

I love the fact that I love my job and have the opportunity to wake up every day knowing that.

What do you love about music?

The ability it has to unite people. And how great it sounds in the car.

Who are some of your favorite bands and records?

Pearl Jam, The Boss, The Beatles, The Stones, Zeppelin, GBV, Neil Young and anything ’70s and ’80s metal I am always up for.

Top three greatest experiences with musicians?

1) Spending four hours and having lunch at the Hilltop on Emerson Way with John Paul Jones of Led Zeppelin. 2) Knowing that Slash said to our production manager, “That Andy guy is cool,” after we spent the day together. 3) Talking about rock music with Eddie Vedder. Meeting Cookie Monster was cool, too.
