Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers have delayed the start of their summer tour to accommodate a new release date (June 15) for the band's first album in eight years, "Mojo". The July 10 Indiaanpolis date, with the Drive-By Truckers opening, is unaffected. The reshuffling affects the first nine dates of the tour, which originally was set to begin May 6 in Raleigh, NC. The rescheduled dates have been moved to the back end of the 26-city outing, with those shows now set for September and October.
The Avett Brothers have added new dates, including an Indy appearance, to their tour in support of their latest album,"I and You and Love." The group finishes their West Coast stretch April 29 in San Diego, and then launch the new leg of shows May 28 that wraps with a July 25 appearance at Louisville's HullabaLOU Festival. They have also been added as an opener for John Mayer summer tour for four shows, including August 15 in Indianapolis at Verizon Wireless Music Center.
