First there was Grampall Jookabox,David "Moose" Adamson's one man freak-folk project
steeped in the Anthology of American Folk Music and psilocybin mushrooms. Then there was Jookabox, the full-band version of Adamson's project
. And then there were none — no Grampall, no Jookabox.
The members of Jookabox have officially parted ways, according to a press release issued today by the band's PR representatives at Team Clermont. The band's final album, The Eyes of the Fly, will be posthumously released April 26 on Asthmatic Kitty. We've been cleared to post one of ten tracks from the upcoming record, "Drops." The song "Eyes of the Fly," which we heard in demo form in early 2010, also appears in the track listing.
Adamson will continue to tour and perform under the solo moniker DMA. More about the breakup on Jookabox's site.
