Plenty of indies on the list, along with those artists on majors who still have independent spirits. Sonic Youth vinyl reissues of "Confusion is Sex" and "EVOL" (limited to 1500), along with a greatest hits collection featuring one new track; a, um, super-surprise 12-inch from the Beastie Boys (limited to 1000); singles from Springsteen and Dave Matthews Band; two Deerhoof reissues; "That's Alright Mama/Blue Moon of Kentucky" Elvis (!) repro 7-inch. Hendrix and Lennon, R.E.M. and Tom Waits. All those Bloomington-based indie labels: Secretly Canadian, St. Ives and Jagjaguwar. And everything else I left out.
All available exclusively at stores participating in Record Store Day, which include, locally, Luna Music, Indy CD & Vinyl and Vibes Music; in Muncie, Village Green Records; in Bloomington, Landlocked Music (and they're producing their own comp, "It Happened Here," for the occasion).
