Sara Evans

Just like the diversity of the photographs that can be found in the packaging of this CD, the songs on Real Fine Place show several different sides and moods of Sara Evans - sexy and playful ("Coalmine" and "Momma's Night Out"), romantic ("A Real Fine Place to Start" and "The Secrets That We Keep"), nostalgic ("You'll Always Be My Baby" and "Missing Missouri") and a bit sassy ("Cheatin'").

For this project, the attractive brown-haired Missouri native not only co-wrote six of the songs, but also co-produced the album with Mark Bright. When it came to other songwriters, Sara enlisted talents such as her brother Matt, Radney Foster and Sheryl Crow.

In addition to her brother Matt, Evans brought in several other family members to help out on this CD: sisters Lesley Evans Lyons and Ashley Evans Simpson appeared on five songs, father Jack Evans added harmonies to "You'll Always Be My Baby" and mother Patricia contributed to the supporting chorus on "In These Four Walls."

With A Real Fine Place, Sara Evans does a good job of reaching back to her musical roots, while maintaining a modern feel at the same time.
