Joseph Foreman, aka Afroman, will return to Bloomington to perform his feel-good rap-rock. Afroman has 12 albums under his belt, including his most recent album, A Colt .45 Christmas. With major musical influences such as Too Short, Big Daddy Kane and 2 Live Crew, Afroman has been in love with music ever since he was little.

His most popular hit to date, “Because I Got High,” has been played on the Howard Stern radio show, giving the single even more exposure. It was also featured on the soundtrack to Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, starring Matt Damon and Ben Affleck. The song gave Foreman major success on the Internet, thanks to sites such as the former Napster. Afroman definitely hit a nerve with the public, and “Because I Got High” has been contagious since its first release. Foreman has recorded many songs to date, but none has reached the mass success that the single received.

Afroman sings and performs songs meant to be feel-good grooves. Leave your worries at the door.
