Neko Case visits Bloomington in support of her seventh studio album Hell-On.

After introducing their Kurt Vonnegut-honoring Granfalloon festival in 2018, Indiana University has planned a second event with a stellar lineup that would make K.V. proud.

Much-loved indie-rock songwriter Neko Case headlines this year’s music portion of Granfalloon, visiting Bloomington in support of a 2018 album titled Hell-On. Case will perform outdoors at Upland Brewing Co. on Saturday, May 11, headlining a stacked bill that also features Parquet Courts and Durand Jones and the Indications. In addition to this May 11 banger, other concerts taking place as part of the 2019 Granfalloon festival include:

-    Khruangbin, Sudan Archives, and Huckleberry Funk at the Bluebird on Friday, May 10

-    Austin White, Barrie, and more at the Bishop on Friday, May 10

-    A Late Night Dance Party with DJ Action Jackson at the Blockhouse Bar on Friday, May 10

"The beauty of Vonnegut is that his work leans into the eclectic and adventurous," said Dan Coleman of Spirit of '68 Promotions. "That frees you to look at stages as a place where the rock royalty of Neko Case can blend with the dancey art punk of Parquet Courts and the harmonic soul of Durand Jones and The Indications; where a Friday stroll will take you to the Afro-inflected-R&B-meets-psychedelic-soul combo of Sudan Archives, the indie pop of Barrie and literary genius of Dave Eggers."

This year’s Granfalloon festival will also feature a keynote address from author Dave Eggers. For a full schedule of Granfalloon festivities, be sure to visit the fest’s official website.
