In honor of Story Inn's newest resident, Tempranillo, a rare breed of Andalusian horse, the Friday, March 5 wine tasting will be themed "Tapas & Tempranillo: An Evening to Celebrate Story's Newest Resident." The evening will feature an assortment of Spanish wines. Seating will be limited to 25, by reservation only. Uncorking will be at 6:30 p.m. in the General Store. Admission is $35. Matteo's Ristorante Italiano, 40 N. Ninth St. in Noblesville, will feature a wine dinner March 9 at 6:30 p.m. highlighting the region of Tuscany. Taste wines that made this region famous. Sommelier Dino Medeiros and Chef Matteo Dirosa will host a Tuscan feast. Cost is $75 per person plus tax and gratuity. RSVP to 774-9771.

Circle City Bar & Grille, inside the Marriott Downtown, is hosting an evening with Clos Pegase, featuring a special winemaker's dinner and an informational, multimedia presentation March 25. There will be a reception at 6:30 p.m., presentation at 7 and dinner at 8:15.
Jan Shrem, owner of Clos Pegase Winery, will deliver a presentation on the world of wine, "Bacchus the Rascal: A Bacchanalian History of Wine Seen Through 4,000 Years of Art."
Featured menu items include Asian marinated green lip mussels, "skate wing" flower filled with morel and foie gras ragout, a mixed grill of spice-crusted venison, baby veal chop and petite filet and chocolate charlotte embraced by chocolate lady fingers.
