New Bonefish Grill opens

A new Bonefish Grill opened Jan. 19 in Avon, 55 S. Raceway Road, at the corner of Rockville and Raceway. This is the third Bonefish Grill in the Indianapolis area.

Hours are Sunday, 4-10 p.m.; Monday-Thursday, 4-10:30 p.m.; and Friday-Saturday, 4-11:30 p.m. For reservations, available but not required, and information call 273-1820. Cutting carbs the natural way

Wild Oats is responding to customer trends with new "carb-conscious" signage throughout its stores, helping its customers navigate the oftentimes confusing low carb terrain.

Wild Oats will provide brochures in stores and online at featuring comprehensive descriptions of popular carb-conscious diets and healthy recommendations for living a controlled-carb lifestyle.

Blackwood's Monon Café is now open in Nora

Family owned and operated, Blackwood's is open seven days a week. Breakfast is served all the time, and the extensive menu features traditional breakfast favorites, as well as unique dishes such as the Sunrise Portobello and Spiced Eggs, prepared in a spiced cream sauce that can only be found at Blackwood's.

The lunch menu, available after 11 a.m., features scratch-made soups and stews, including goulash and Portuguese Stew. Unique sandwiches, main dish salads and traditional "comfort" favorites such as meat loaf, pot roast and chicken and noodles make this moderately priced restaurant the place to be for lunch.

Blackwood's features fresh ingredients, hand-cut meats, unique sausages, scratch-made sausage gravy and specialty syrups. Plus, it is Blackwood's policy to fulfill special requests whenever possible. This includes special requests from guests who are on the Atkins and South Beach Diets.

Blackwood's Monon Café is located at 1403 E. 86th St., where the Monon Trail crosses 86th. Winter hours are 7 a.m.-3 p.m. The hours will be expanded for spring and summer as Monon Trail traffic increases. Call-ahead seating is available and recommended on weekends: 202-EGGS (3447).
