You'd be well-served to stop by the Brewers of Indiana Guild exhibit in the new DuPont Food Pavilion. Better still, volunteer to work at the booth; lovely perks are provided. Contact BIG executive director Lee Smith at email@example.com to learn more.
A month of mead
In August, mead is celebrated as the oldest fermented beverage made with honey, water and yeast. Oliver Winery’s newly released collection features different types of mead, often called honey wine, with Camelot Mead, Black Cherry, Mango, Peach and Strawberry.
Adding honey to a brew of malt, water yeast and hops creates honey beer. Rock Bottom is featuring Summer Honey Ale through Aug. 12.

We welcome Sara Turner to our Oaken Barrel brewing team. Sara was an intern in our brewery for the last several months before officially joining the Brew Crew. Maybe she will follow footsteps of our former brewer Tonya Cornett, who became the National Brewer of the Year in 2010.”
