HOW IS INDIANA SECURING THE VOTING PROCESS?
Question: “Exactly where is the state on proposed ideas/legislation to further secure the voting process. The SOS has said that voting machines are not online. How is the software updated & secured? How are old machines destroyed? What is the oversight mechanism? Etc.”

Answer: Thanks, Karin. We've written about the testing of the new voting machines recently and election security. Feel free to check out those articles. We're still waiting to see how the state will use all of the $8 million it received earlier this year from a federal grant aimed at making the process safer.
In our questions to the candidates, we asked those running for Secretary of State specifically about security. We'll add those links below.
We're working on an interview with the Marion County Clerk's office about election security, and that should be posted next week.
Hope these help you find the some answers.
