In this workshop, through lecture, discussion and practice, we will delve into the basics of yoga philosophy focusing on the kosha model and the Eight Limbed Path of the Yoga Sutras.
The Eight Limbed Path, or Ashtanga Model, serves as a prescription for moral and ethical conduct and give us practices to help us live healthier and more meaningful lives.
According to yoga philosophy, we have not one, but 5 bodies, each made of increasingly finer grades of energy. We will learn specific practices to strengthen and tone each one to support our path to wholeness.
Practice will include a head to toe joint releasing sequence, breathwork and the meditative practice of yoga nidra.
