President Benjamin Harrison Home

About President Benjamin Harrison Home

Not only was Benjamin Harrison our 23rd president (serving from 1889-1893), but he was the first President to limit the power of monopolies and, after his term was over, represented the Republic of Venezuela in their case against the United Kingdom. His former residence in downtown Indianapolis is now a museum open for guided tours approximately one hour in length. Visitors will see 10 rooms in the museum, including the third floor ballroom. Come learn more about the country’s only Hoosier president! And if you’d like to participate in the fun, there are also plenty of volunteer opportunities.
