News from the Great American Beer Festival
Rob Caputo, CEO of Brewers of Indiana Guild reports, “At GABF, Sept. 20-23, in Denver, we will be pouring 10 Indiana beers from around the state split up into groups of five over the four GABF sessions.
“We'll be pouring beer from Centerpoint, Central State, Four Day Ray, Hoplore, Mad Anthony, Scarlet Lane, Summit City, Switchyard and Three Floyds, along with the Special brewed at Upland—our IN Beer Brigade collab beer from our South Central brewers. It’s called Lindera and will be bottled and distributed to Brigade members in late October/November.
“Brewers of Indiana Guild will be a part of the Brewers Association’s "Support Your Local Brewery" (SYLB) area at the event that will feature 24 state guilds from around the country, who also will be pouring craft beer from their states.
“The area is unique in that we all need to be serving beers that are not available elsewhere at individual brewery booths at the event,” continued Caputo. “Attendees who come to the area will receive a passport to visit state booths in the SYLB area of the fest, and upon receiving the required number of stamps can redeem their passport for a prize from the Brewers Association, who also has a booth in the area. Attendees can sign up to receive notifications on legislative initiatives that impact the craft brewing industry.”
