One hundred years ago, the 18th Amendment became effective midnight Jan. 16/17, 1919, to ban the "manufacture, sale, or transportation of intoxicating liquors…for beverage purposes." Prohibition lasted for 13 years.

The 11th Annual Brewers of Indiana Guild Winterfest took over the West Pavilion at the Indiana State Fairgrounds for two days this weekend. Madeline Curtis shares her photos.

The Books and Brews franchise has acquired local craft brewery Flat12 Bierworks. The brewery’s 8th anniversary party this weekend will mark the changeover.
