Symphony on the Prairie: "Venzago's Debut" concert review

At last! Mario Venzago has never led the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra in a Symphony on the Prairie concert -- until now. And no one can rev the orchestra's engine quite like the Maestro. Venzago will lead the orchestra through what's billed as a "musical journey around the world," featuring works by Sibelius, Grieg, Ravel, Liszt, Belioz and Verdi, among others. Performances are July 17-18 at 8 p.m. at the Conner Prairie Amphitheater, 13400 N. Allisonville Road in Fishers. Hannah Carroll, award-winning 13-year-old pianist, will also perform. Tickets are $20 in advance and $25 at the gate (children are $10 and $12). Tickets can be purchased at Marsh and O'Malia's stores, by calling 800-366-8457 or by going online to www.IndianapolisSymphony.org.
