Big Car Gallery

If you were down at the Masterpiece in a Day event in Fountain Square two weeks ago, you would've had the opportunity to pencil sketch your "Bigfoot sighting" on an 8 ½ by 11 inch sheet of paper. Five hundred such sketches covered the walls of Big Car at the Oct. 2 opening. Some Bigfoots were depicted as stick figures. Some were depicted abstractly. Some - in a secret x-rated Bigfoot section hidden from the general public - might have struck you as being either erotic or obscene (depending on your point of view). Many Big Car visitors not only rendered their sightings at the opening, but taped them to the gallery walls, too. Among them was Herron graduate Steven Musngi; his Bigfoot looked like incarcerated financier Bernie Madoff taking his first tentative steps into the prison shower. Through Oct. 28 by appointment; 317-450-6630; www.bigcar.org. Also check out the related "Phenomenon, Bigfoot, and UFO show," on Oct. 9 from 6-9 p.m., at IMOCA.
