"Anthropologist Napoleon Chagnon, known worldwide for his pioneering work in the Amazon rainforest with the Yanomamo people, will speak April 13 at the University of Indianapolis. Chagnon’s 1968 book, Yanomamo: The Fierce People, detailing the Yanomamo’s hallucinogenic rituals and brutal ax fights, has been a staple on reading lists for almost anyone who has ever taken an anthropology course.
