"One and a half stars (R)
Forget the 1972 Elaine May/Neil Simon original comedy, this version is pure Farrelly brothers with Peter and Bobby taking the story of a man (Stiller, at his most irritating) who falls in love with another woman on his honeymoon and giving it a There’s Something About Mary spin. Actually, make that half a spin, because this extremely tiresome, not-nearly-funny-enough flick topples over within minutes. What a drag. 116 minutes.
DVD INFO: Two separately packaged DVDs are available. One preserves the film in the anamorphic widescreen format, while the other hacks off nearly a third of the feature for the fullscreen (aka pan & scan) version. Shop carefully. Both versions include audio commentary by the Farrelly brothers, deleted scenes, a gag reel and some featurettes.
