"Recent Projects is the latest idea hatched by contemporary art entrepreneur Jeremy Efroymson, this time with the help of curator Scott Grow. Recent Projects “acts as an interdisciplinary laboratory for the convergence of film, performance and visual arts in the community by presenting quality, innovative exhibitions featuring emerging, mid-career and under-recognized artists.”
On March 2, Recent Projects will present Protest Dome Offshore, new works by Cuban artist Felipe Dulzaides that take a public space in Havana for their point of departure. The opening reception takes place from 6-10 p.m. at the Murphy Art Center, 1043 Virginia Ave., Suite 214 (next to Big Car Gallery).
Recent Projects has partnered with iMOCA to host a public artist talk, Coffee and Conversation, Saturday, March 3 at noon. The public is invited to join the artist, Dulzaides, in an open forum regarding this installation along with his inspiration, process and background.
