Enjoyable if unremarkable Woody Allen comedy based on a script he wrote in the '70s with Zero Mostel in mind for the lead role. Larry David (Curb Your Enthusiasm) stars as a New Yorker who believes that oblivion is inevitable and that he is superior to almost everybody, including the young homeless woman (Evan Rachel Wood) that turns up at his doorstep. David is terribly sour, rude and fun to watch, especially when forced to deal with people around him who insist on being happy. Wood is charming and costars Patricia Clarkson and Ed Begley deliver solid laughs. 92 minutes. At Landmark's Keystone Art Cinema.
