Quick movie review: "My One and Only"

Agreeable Neil Simon-ish comedy set in 1953 about a hot-tempered beauty and indifferent mother (Renee Zellweger) who leaves her husband (Kevin Bacon), a philandering partner and indifferent father, and hits the road to a new life with her two teenage boys. Loosely based on the life of actor/suntan object lesson George Hamilton, the story is breezy — funny at times, serious at others — and satisfying enough for a look-see. 107 minutes.
