Carol Tharp-Perrin & Larry Gindhart: Paintings and digital imaging
Clowes Memorial Hall of Butler University
The hanging design adds to this extensive, provocative exhibit of Carol Tharp-Perrin’s large acrylics painted on-site at live performances and convocations and of Larry Gindhart’s worldwide photographs and portraits taken at life-cycle events. At all times look over your shoulders to experience works in juxtaposition on another wall; for example: Tharp-Perrin’s “Unveiled” and “Eve of the Millennium,” “The Dancer” and “Vision Flight” and Gindhart’s “No. 33 Salzburg, Austria” and “Wall in Praha, Czech Republic.” The combined works always surprise with contextual inferences and another way of seeing. Gallery Walk/Talk Nov. 9, 6:45 p.m. prior to JCFA Symphonic Band and Wind Ensemble Concert. Through Nov. 24; www.ClowesHall.org/art.
