Marilyn Monroe: The Exhibit is the world’s largest collection of never-before seen Marilyn Monroe artifacts ever assembled, featuring thousands of intimate pieces and personal property belonging to the most glamorous icon of the 20th century.
Robert W. Otto, renowned international collector and historical expert on America’s foremost icon and treasure, Marilyn Monroe, has assembled one of the most thorough and intimate collections imaginable. He has been collecting artifacts belonging to this Hollywood legend for over 30 years. Almost every aspect of Marilyn’s life has been captured in Otto’s collection, providing an intimate look at this fascinating, intriguing and glamorous star.
This stunning collection boasts thousands of pieces of Marilyn Monroe’s personal property, from jeans, bathing suits and evening gowns, to her hot rollers, cosmetic cases and favorite bottles of perfume. Featured items in this exhibit include Marilyn’s blonde wig from Some Like it Hot, an engagement bracelet from her former agent, Johnny Hyde, Marilyn’s monogrammed red luggage and the hat, gloves, purse and shoes Marilyn wore when she married Joe DiMaggio in 1954.
This collection also entails 700 international magazines in which Marilyn appeared on the cover, and a number of unpublished photos, including several never-before-seen color images from the celebratory bash where Marilyn sang “Happy Birthday” to former President John F. Kennedy.
