Yoko Ono presents When I’m Sixty Four, a celebration of 64 years of the Lennon Legend, May 14-16 at the Adam’s Mark Hotel Downtown, 120 W. Market St. ‘Camel Dances,’ part of the exhibit of John Lennon’s artwork ‘When I’m Sixty Four’ at the Adam’s Mark Hotel Downtown May 14-16; 888-278-1969. The exhibit will showcase artwork created by Lennon from 1964 through 1980, the year of his death. Over 100 pieces convey his message of love and life. The exhibit also features the largest collection of original drawings and signed Lennon albums with drawings presented to date; rare works from the original “Bag One” suite signed by Lennon in 1969, as well as estate pieces signed by Ono; Beatles song lyric manuscripts by Lennon from his years with the Beatles and solo years following; and “Real Love” children’s drawings Lennon did for his son Sean in the last year of his life.
A $2 donation is suggested to benefit Adopt-A-Classroom, a non-profit organization providing moral and financial support to teachers and their students in schools in the Indianapolis area.
